Anna’s website looked outdated and unprofessional, since it was created and last updated in 2008. The menu could have been improved and there was no smooth content flow for the potential client to find Anna’s contact information and offered services easily.
Goals & Objectives
Our goal was to create a clean and simple presentation website that is fully encrypted, so the data inserted will not be in clear text. Anna wanted the website to be informative as well as simply understandable, since tax-related concepts can be difficult to grasp. The site also must be updated very quickly and easily, without eating up a lot of time.
We decided to keep the color scheme relaxed and professional with different tones of blue and lighter purple. To keep the style clear and sophisticated, we chose a very classic Georgia Serif font, which is supported by all the major browsers. With some added simple line-icons and illustrative high-quality images the website got a more appealing visual. Two images of Anna herself create a more personal touch, so the client can feel that they are speaking to a person, not a robot.
The menu was made extremely simple, with just a basic text-logo and three menu items so potential clients don’t get lost in a mess of text and options. You can find a “Call to Action” button on every page, which simplifies contacting Anna and inquiring about services that she offers.
As a result, the website looks clean and spartan, stripped of all unnecessary text and illustrations and getting straight to the point. The content gives a quick overview of what the business is about, and the services offered. Getting in touch with Anna Nalls is very simple and intuitive, and the contact page includes both a basic contact form and contact information (phone number and email address).
